delta air lines

WHILE IN THE ARMY I USED CHICAGO MIDWAY AIRPORT AFEW TIMES.  THAT WAS WHEN OZARK AIRLINES WAS BIG IN THE MIDWEST.  O’HARA WAS NOT EVEN OPEN YET.  THIS WOULD BE ABOUT 1956. PLANES WERE MOSTLY PROPS.
IN 1954 I TOOK A EASTERN CONNIE AS THEY CALLED THEM FROM CHICAGO TO TAMPA.    WAS A LATE NIGHT FLIGHT GETTING TO TAMPA ABOUT DAY BREAK.
DON EHLER WAS WORKING IN A HOTEL THERE FOR THE WINTER MONTHS.  WE DROVE BACK TO IOWA BY CAR ALL THE WAY FROM TAMPA TO IOWA.
MY H.S.  BUDDY NEVER GOT TO SEE RETIREMENT WITH SUDDEN DEATH.
HE IS BURIED UNDER A BIG MAGNOLIA TREE AT MONTICELLO, FLA.
MOST TROUBLE WE EVER GOT INTO WAS SKIPPING SCHOOL AND GONE HUNTING PHESANTS.  WE ARE NOW TALKING ABOUT 65 YEARS AGO.
